Todd: Two Years Old

2 Year Stats
Weight: 30.2 lbs (Taken at 2 year well check)
Height: 35.25 inches (Taken at 2 year well check)
Diapers: Size 5
Clothes: 2T-3T clothes, almost all 3T PJs
Shoes: Size 7
Eating:  He's still addicted to pouches. He'd eat 10 a day if we let him. He only gets ones with green veggies in them but still loves them. He's not a big milk drinker, I can sometimes get him to drink a big of organic whole milk, but not often. He is a HUGE breakfast eater. Normally out eats me. 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, some sort of carb (pancakes, waffle, etc) and a few pouches. Sometimes even a bowl of yogurt. He tapers off with lunch and dinner unless it's pizza or mac n cheese. He's kinda picky still when it comes to dinner, but he doesn't get another option so most nights he eats fruits or veggies and greek yogurt for dinner.
Sleeping: 11.5-12 hours at night and 2-3 hour naps! He's a rock star sleeper! He goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes up between 7-7:30. Lately he's had some 8:00am and even 8:30 wake ups!
Teeth: 16 teeth- waiting on 2 year molars
Words: He strings a few words together- his longest one yet was "I wuv you Mommy!" awww. He is regularly putting two words together. He still grunts or fusses sometimes and with a quick reminder to "use your words" he will!
Favorite Toys: Balls, trucks, books, dinosaurs, dress ups, Legos, kitchen, pretty much anything Embry is playing with.
Favorite Books:  Little Blue Truck, Vroom, Oh The Thinks You Can Think, The Bear Snores On

New Things
*Big boy! He's half an inch taller than Embry and 2.5 pounds more than her at this age and wearing a shoes one size bigger.
*His ear tubes are still in place and seem to be doing their jobs. This time last year he was in the pediatrician multiple times a month for reoccurring infections. He's been so healthy this year!
*Absolutely adores Embry. Two mornings a week when they're separated for 30 minutes for speech, it's major tears!
*Mother's Day Out has started back up two days a week and he has so much fun there. The first week he cried at dropoff, but the second day I walked back down to his class about 30 seconds after I dropped him off (forgot to sign him in) and he was already playing! He goes 5 hours twice a week!
*Loves to jump off things...like kinda high stuff!
*He's a shadow of Daddy- he will spend hours in the backyard with Jacob mimicking EVERY thing he does. If Jacob is raking, Todd will rake. If Jacob is digging, Todd will dig.
*Loves to dance. And loves to perform like his big sister.
*So much more physical than Embry was...he's been caught hitting, tackling, etc. on the playground....whoops.
*Going through an EXTREMELY independent phase. HAS to do everything himself. Has to get in and out of the car alone, buckle his carseat alone, walk up and down stairs alone, you name it, he wants to do it alone while exclaiming- "MINE MINE ME ME MINE ME MINE MINE ME ME".
*Jacob and I are always saying he's such a funny kid. He's the total "class clown" of our family. Loves to get a laugh out of all of us.
*He loves order, like his mama and sister. All last year we got notes home from Mother's Day Out that he was so good at cleanup time, hah! He may favor Jacob in looks and a lot of traits, but he has some of his mama in him ;)
*He's so good at physical stuff- he's amazing on his scooter, dribbling a soccer ball, etc.

Todd: 21 Months Old

21 Month Stats
Weight:  29 ish pounds. Only gained a pound since 18 months. Probably because he rarely stops moving!
Height: Gosh I've gotten bad about this...he was 34 inches at 18 months. I bet he's grown an inch or so!
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes:  2T-3T. Just bought him 3 new shirts from Target and so glad I ordered 3T, they fit perfect.
Shoes: Size 7 (E was only in a size 5 at this age...big boy)
Eating: Still kinda picky when it comes to lunch and dinner. He loves eggs, sausage, and oatmeal for breakfast. Won't eat a PBJ sandwich yet. Boo! He still is obsessed with pouches and loves "milkshakes" like his big sis...Pedia Sure. He loves fruit, cheese, Greek yogurt.
Sleeping: 11.5 hours at night... 7:30pm-7:00am! He's an awesome napper and naps 2-3.5 hours every day!
Teeth: 16 teeth. He has all except his 2 year molars.
Words: Man I wrote at 15 months he has 15 words....I've tried to keep a note in my phone with all of his words, but I'm sure it's well over 100-200. He's super chatty. It's so much fun since at this age we were still super concerned about Embry's lack of words and at 22 months had her screened for speech delays. Todd is a little parrot and is starting to put two words together.
Favorite Toys: He likes to color, loves to do anything outside, loves running, climbing, parks, jumping, swimming, etc! He loves to do anything Embry does, including ponies and dolls. He's super cute putting his baby in its crib.
Favorite Books: Vroom (a book about trains, cars, trucks, etc.), The Little Engine That Could, Little Blue Truck, any book with animals.

New Things!

*Super talkative!!!!
*Loves men- he totally loves his mama but is obsessed with his Daddy, Papa, E-Pa, and any other man around.
*LOVES bugs, worms, etc. (I just looked at Embry's 21 month post and it says- "does not like bugs at all") haha
*Fearless/really brave... he recently went down a big adult water slide all by himself at a local pool...climbed 3 flights of stairs and went down with no fear. He's crazy.
*He's a climber, but still hasn't tried to get out of the crib....hooray. I've caught him at the top of chain link fences at parks.
*He's the "class clown" for sure. Knows and tries to be silly.
*He gets out of his sleep sack almost every night, BUT still wants to wear it. I've tried putting him to bed without it and he cried and cried!
*Loves sweets just like his big sister
*Finished his first full year of Mother's Day Out/"school"...loved his school so much! Excited to start back up in the fall =)
*A happy go lucky little boy that we all just adore!!!

Embry: 4.5 Years Old

4.5 Year Stats
Weight: 40.0 pounds
Height:
44 inches (grown a full inch since New Years when we last measured her)
Clothes: 5T/6 clothes and PJs
Shoes: Size 10-11
Eating: SOOOOOO much better than when I last "reported". Besides snacks and sweets, food doesn't seem that important to her. But she now will eat 4 bites of everything on her plate at dinner without a fuss. Favorites are any snack, sweet, grilled cheese, Greek yogurt, pizza, fruit, raw broccoli and carrots with dip,
Sleeping: Sleeps 11.5 hours at night on average. Since the time change it's been 8pm-7:30 am. Soon after her 4th birthday she stopped napping every single day at home. She'll still nap if we ask her to but she LOVES doing quiet time in her room while Todd naps. She's required to stay in her room his whole nap which is often 2.5-3 hours. She loves playing ponies, dolls, barbies, etc. alone in her room and doesn't come out the entire time. She still naps almost every Monday and Wednesday at school.
Teeth: 20 teeth- She got her 2 year molars the week of her 3rd birthday. The next teeth she should get is 6 year molars I think....so that should happen by age 7 ;)
Favorite Toys: Hands down her My Little Ponies, pony castle and pony house. She still loves crafts, play doh, Legos, her scooter outside.
Favorite Books: No surprise, her My Little Pony chapter book is her current favorite.
Favorite Shows/Characters: Anything My Little Pony. She loves the show on Netflix. She also is obsessed with the movie Trolls! We're SO busy these days she goes most days without any screen time.

Embry at 4.5 years old:
*So obsessed with My Little Ponies. Loves anything unicorn, rainbows, pony.
*I think if I put in minimal effort I could have her reading in no time. She loves letters, writing, knows all of the sounds of letters, has even started sounding out words and writing them herself. I'm in no rush to have her grow up and since she still has 18 months til Kinder I'm just letting her be little!
*She is doing GREAT at speech. Last fall she was going 1 day a week for an hour and starting in January we moved to two 30 minute sessions and we've seen a HUGE improvement since then! She's conquered S blends and is kicking butt with L's and L blends right now!
*Super, super girly. Negotiates every day to wear a "dress and it needs to be pink". She loves anything twirly, pink (or yellow), and she is always sporting a matching bow. Even to bed EVERY night.
*Such a planner. (I have no idea where she gets that.....hehe). She likes to know what we're doing that day, the next day, the day after.
*She loves to be on the go. Unless someone's sick, we don't ever stay at home a whole day. Even if we've spent 9am-1pm at the zoo and come home to nap, she'll wake up and ask where can we go now? She loves all of our outings and acts like she owns the Arboretum, zoo, etc. Hah.
*Super helpful. She LOVES to help with anything. Diaper changes, making dinner, anything. And she likes to do it all. So big!
*Loves to scooter! She is SO fast on her scooter! We actually just had to get her a new one because she ran the brake out on her old one (that I got on a FB yardsale page for $5). Jacob takes the kids jogging 4 days a week and she scooters along side him. She also is good at her bike (with training wheels) but much prefers to scooter these days!
*Looks wise I think she's a total combo of us. I still see Jacob in her a lot but often see her and see myself as a little girl. We used to always get that she looks just like Jacob, but now we totally hear that she looks like me way more often than Jacob.
*Personality wise, she's her mama through and through. She likes things in order, likes to plan, doesn't like a mess, loves to be on the go, etc.
*She's the sweetest big sister. She hates when Todd cries and when he does she races to his room to get him his bunny and will try anything to get him to stop. He recently got hurt and was crying HARD and when bunny didn't comfort him she got stickers out and put them all over his hands while telling him he's a good boy.

*Adores her friends. She has a handful of best friends and she just loves them.
*Can finally now sit through an entire movie. She's in a Trolls obsession currently.
*She totally has "big feelings" as Jacob has coined. She gets her feelings hurt pretty easily and can end up in a puddle of tears in a split second.
*Can officially get in and out of the car alone! She can open the door and completely do her 5 point harness buckle! Hooray!
*Can you tell I just am obsessed with this age? Even before I had my own kids, I always said age 4 was my favorite! It's the best! I just want time to slow down! She's just the sweetest girl ever and we love her to pieces!

Todd: 18 Months Old

18 Month Stats

Weight:  28 ish pounds. Varies between 28-29 pounds our home scale and scale at the gym! (Embry was 24 pounds at 18 months! LOL)
Height: 34 inches
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: Mostly 24 month or 2T. For shirts he wears 2T for sure.
Shoes: Size 6
Eating: Darn it, he's getting picky! He used to eat anything I put in front of him! He's still a rockstar breakfast eater... Eggs, oatmeal, cereal, pancakes, pretty much anything I give him. Embry got picky around this age and I catered to it and would make her a second meal for dinner, but not doing that with this guy. A few nights this week he tried some of my dinners (some chicken here and there), but for the most part he eats whatever sides I serve...some fruit or veggies and Greek yogurt. His favorites are string cheese, Greek yogurt, Cheerios, Kids Cliff Bars, pouches (still obsessed with pouches). He also loves organic whole milk! He wasn't a huge fan but as of the past 6 weeks he's upped his milk game big time.
Sleeping: 11.5 hours at night. As of day light savings time he's now doing 7:30pm-7:00am! (instead of 6:30-6). He's an awesome napper and naps 2-3.5 hours every day! He's pretty good napping at school too and frequently does a 2 hour nap there (twice a week).
Teeth: 14 teeth. Poor guy cut SIX new teeth in one month. 3 canines and 3 molars. He went through a span of waking at night for 3 weeks or so and it was while he was cutting these teeth and had an awful head cold at the same time. The 4th canine and molar are cutting right now. Ready for this teething phase to be over!
Words: He's become quite chatty these past few months! Unlike his big sis, he'll now repeat any word we ask him to say! He says probably 15 words regularly- mama, mommy, dada, more, up, hot, dog, duck, more, Papa, ball, hi, rawr, etc....
Favorite Toys: He's our little outside man! He LOVES playing anything outside and does great at parks especially. Loves trucks and anything that goes, dinosaurs, books, balls, stealing anything that Embry is playing with.
Favorite Books: Vroom (a book about trains, cars, trucks, etc.), The Little Engine That Could, books with animals because he likes to rawr at every animal....haha

New Things!

*From 15-18 months is the longest we've ever gone with NO pediatrician visit!!! Looks like the tubes are doing their job! Hooray!
*Had an awesome second Christmas! =)
*Moved up in school to the "Baby 2" class room! He's so big and does arts and crafts, goes to music class, plays outside, etc.  He LOVES his new class and playing the day away!
*Does great at the gym daycare! Since dropping his morning nap I take the kids to the gym 3 or 4 mornings a week and he willingly runs into the child care!

*On a new sleep schedule thanks to Daylight Savings! Sleeping in until at least 7 am! Hooray!
*Such a little boy! So fun to see his little rough and tumble personality come out.
*Turning picky with food. Still obsessed with pouches though.
*Still obsessed with his Daddy.
*He has gotten in trouble for hitting his sister and friend countless times... He also loves slap fighting and hitting Jacob for fun....soooooo yeah haha
*He travels so well! He sleeps in new places just fine, is great in the car, etc.
*First stomach bug =( Poor baby.
*More talkative! But still communicates with lots of pointing and grunting. Hah. Hoping in the next three months that will change!
*Loves to climb! He completely scaled a 4 foot chain link fence at a park about a month ago. Luckily his sleep sack keeps him in his crib!
*Knows all his body parts when asked
*He's super silly- I know it's the age too, but multiple times a day Jacob and I say to each other how goofy he is!
*Just the cutest little boy I ever did see! Love you Todder man!

Todd: 15 Months Old

15 Month Stats

Weight:  24.6 pounds Dec 16 at the surgery center before tubes
Height: Will update after his well check! We don't go to well check until January 3!
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 18 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months. 18 month PJs are awfully snug. Don't think we'll make it through winter in his 18 month fleece footies.
Shoes: 5.5 His size 5 Stride Rites are too small, so he may be a 6 now.
Eating: Eats 3 meals a day and a bajillion snacks. We had to get a lock for the pantry because of him. He has an OBSESSION with fruit and veggie pouches. They're his favorite thing in the world. He probably eats 6 a day. And would eat 25 a day if I let him. He's getting a bit picky which is normal for 15 months, but I'm not giving in like I did with Embry. He's gone to bed a few nights with no dinner if he chooses not to eat what I cook. He loves eggs, zoodles with pesto, baked sweet potato fries, turkey dogs, lunch meat, breakfast sausage, greek yogurt, string cheese. He does NOT love milk. I've recently started to offer it to him with a drop or two of chocolate syrup in it and he'll drink a cup. He eats so much yogurt I'm not concerned, but it'd be nice if he'd drink a cup with dinner!
Sleeping: 11.5-12 hours straight through the night (6:30 pm-6/6:30 am) and is dropping his morning nap. I remember this being one of my least favorite transitions with Embry. He took his morning nap once this past week. When he doesn't he'll still nap 2 hours in the afternoon (just like he did when he took a 90 min morning nap). So he's still learning that if he naps only once it needs to be longer than 2 hours! He loves going to bed at 6-6:30 pm still!
Teeth: 8 teeth. No new teeth since his first birthday, although his first set of molars is coming in. I've noticed signs of teething recently and there are some lumps on his gums. Oh joy!
Words: mama, gaga (for Daddy), dog (which also sounds a lotttt like gaga haha), uh oh, hot
Favorite Toys: Anything Embry is playing with, LOVES to be outside sitting in his car or mowing the lawn, the indoor toddler trampoline, jumping on beds.....
Favorite Books: "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb" (looked back on Embry's 15 month blog and this was her favorite book too!), he's obsessed with this Usborn book we got where he moves the animals around.

New Things!

*Starting to talk a bit! See above words =)
*So, so, so obsessed with Jacob. He's always been, but it seems to be even stronger now. And on that note, he loves really any man. He's been known to walk up to strangers (particularly men) and have them hold him.
*Got ear tubes due to ear infection after ear infection....
*He's SO busy. Just gets into everything
*Loves dancing to music- loves going to E's choir practice each week and rocking out haha
*Throws a ball and loves to shoot baskets in the play room
*Is starting to love things with wheels. He loves little trains and cars and making them move on the ground or his train table
*Steals things from his sister and throws them or runs away....waiting for us to chase him
*On that note....he's gotten a few time outs and they seem to help for a few minutes at least. Hah.
*Can walk down stairs standing up, not holding onto anything. Scares the crap outta me, but he can do it and loves to!
*When he sees Jacob getting his brief case ready in the morning he starts going up to him smacking his lips for a kiss. It's so cute!
*Loves medicine, probably because he's been on an antibiotic for the majority of the past 6 months.
*Loves school! His teachers say he just plays ALL day long! He takes a good 2 hour nap at school too! His teachers seem to really adore him (I think because they have a few that cry and fuss a lot of the time-haha). A few weeks ago he started kissing his teachers often. They love that!
*He's great at using a spoon and fork!
*Adores his big sister. If she's not awake in the morning we have to keep him away from her room because he just wants her awake to play with!
*Has had two haircuts since he turned one! He'll get another one soon! I love his hair cut short like a big boy!
*Had a final 12 months post-surgery check up with the urologist and he's 100% healed from his hydrocele surgery! At 6 months post surgery he still had a tiny bit of fluid on his testicles where the hernias were that the doctor fully expected to go down, and sure enough it did! His scars are barely visible!
*To me and Jacob, he seems so different than we remember Embry. Much more rough and tumble, way less gentle....hah. Doesn't sit still...just such a boy! And we love him so much for it!!!

Todd: 12 Months Old

Twelve Month Stats
Weight: 22.8 pounds (done at home)
Height: 30 inches (done at home)
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 18 month clothes and PJs, some 24 months stuff!
Shoes: Size 5! Embry at a year was moving from a 3.5 to a 4...Todd has always had pretty big feet and hands! And it doesn't hurt that his feet are FAT hah!
Eating: He still is a great eater! He definitely doesn't pound EVERYthing I give him now, but pretty much most stuff! For some reason, his long time favorite breakfast- eggs, he has refused the past week or so. Faves are Greek yogurt, banana egg pancakes, baked or grilled chicken, anything Embry is eating, pouches of any fruit or veggie, oatmeal, deli meat, string cheese, any snack carb, anything with red sauce-pasta, zoodles, lasanga. Fully weaned from breastmilk and doesn't really love whole cows milk.
Sleeping: Same as the past few months-Sleeps 12 hours straight through the night! Woo hoo! Although it's 6-6. Would be the icing on the cake if he could go 7-7, but no matter what time his afternoon nap, he's ready for by at 6:00. He takes 2 naps a day, usually 1.5-2 hours each.
Teeth: 7- almooooost 8!

New Things!

*Full blown walker! Toddy took his first step on his 11 month birthday and quickly became a full time walker!
*Started Mother's Day Out. Goes 9:30am-2:30 pm Mondays and Wednesdays. Started a week ago and they told me the first day how good he did for it being his first day....but he's barely napping there. Today was his third day and they said he seemed to actually have fun today and play with the other kids. Haha oh to be a fly on the wall.
*Fully weaned off the boob ;) and has been for almost 3 weeks now
*Does this sound with his mouth, like a pursing/smacking of his lips, when he's hungry.
*Wakes up in the mornings STARVING and not happy. Haha until you give him 2 or so pouches and usually another snack...he's not a happy camper.
*And still on the topic of food, goes to the pantry to find food when he's hungry. Hah
*Likes to use utensils when he eats. It's SO messy.
*Definitely a mamas and daddys boy! If were in the room and leave the room, he gets sad.
*LOVES to be outside. When going from the car to inside and vice versa he often tries to wiggle out of my arms and fuss to get down because he loves just toddling around the carport getting into things.
*Pretty happy go lucky when he's not tired!
*Cannot believe our little man is ONE year old! The year flew by and we love him more than we could have ever thought! Can't even remember life without ya, Todder Man!!!
