Embry had her 2 year well check on Tuesday (October 7) and was SO excited when I said we were going to the doctor. She wanted to bring along her doctors kit which was a huge hit with the staff. Everything went well, she's a healthy, happy little (big) two year old girl! She got a blood draw in her finger and they filled up three little viles of blood and she didn't even flinch! Crazy! She was quite proud of her band-aid. After nap that day when I told her we were going to see Eliot she got excited to show him her finger (which the band-aid was already off of). They unfortunately were out of the flu vaccine (guess there's a nationwide shortage and we go to one of the largest practices in Dallas) so we had to go back Thursday morning for the shot. I was holding down her arms and in her face and was shocked when the nurse said- okay all done! Again, she didn't even flinch when the nurse did the shot in her leg. Tough girl! I love having all her stats in one spot...
*I did a height predictor where you enter your two year olds- height, weight, gender, and parents' height and she's predicted to be 5' 7'' (and I rounded up to 35 inches) so we'll see! **I was 24.5 pounds (30%) and 33.75 inches (30%) at 2 years and wasn't her height and weight until 2.5 years old. I filled in the predictor for myself and it "projected" me for 5' 5'' (I'm almost 5'4'')
Big two year old ready for the doctor!
This came up on my Timehop app this week- These were all shots of her at her first year well checks- 2 mo, 4 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 12 mo!

The Fair!
Wednesday morning Lauren decided to let Eliot play hooky from school and we headed to the State Fair of Texas for $3.00 Wednesdays! We all had so much fun and got there a few minutes before it opened and rolled into our driveway at exactly naptime- 1pm. It paid off as Embry took a 3 hour nap. It took everything in my power not to curl up and nap myself after the busy morning-but a midday shower was a must! It was SO humid! The week before Embry did NOT like the petting zoo at Sweet Berry Farm, but she warmed up very quickly to the one at the fair. She giggled every time the goats nibbled the food off her hand. There also was a cute farm exhibit where you walk through and get to do all kinds of farm activities like plant seeds, feed animals, milk cows, etc. Embry had no interest in the rides, but liked watching Eliot do a few. All in all we found free street parking, spent $3 getting in (Embry was free), bought $10 in coupons (which we used on food), and bought a $1 cup of food for the goats, so we spent $14 which is pretty good considering it's $17 per person just to get in other days of the week! I also managed to take my good camera and get some cute pics!
Who needs a double stroller when Eliot can sit on the cup holders ;)

"Good" Camera
I've tried to get out my good camera at least once a day this week. I just forget how much better the quality is, but the iPhone is just so darn convenient! Love these snapshots of our girl! She could play in our backyard all.day.long! And I love that!
This is one of Jacob's favorite faces on Embry- her "I'm trying not to smile" face

Coloring the backs of her Thank You Notes
Not sure what I was thinking but I let E put on the stamps, so if you get a thank you note with the stamp upsidedown or hanging off, you'll know why ;)

Thursday my Timehop app showed that 2 years ago we were headed to the pediatrician for her 1 week check-up. I just HAD to recreate the picture, yellow polkadots and all, since we were headed to get E's flu shot that day!
