*Embry is officially Mommy's 12 month weight, at 8 months old!
Height: 28.5 inches (done at home)
Diapers: Size 3
Clothes: 6-9 months, 6-12 months, 9 month, some 12 month rompers and swimsuits. She wears 6-9 month pajamas.
Eating: She nurses 5 times a day and eats 3 meals a day
New foods: greek yogurt, pasta, cottage cheese, oatmeal (adult oatmeal, not just the baby stuff), black beans
Sleeping: 11-12 hours straight through the night and two naps (typically at 9:00 am and 2:00 pm)
Teeth: STILL no teeth!
Words: Lots of babbles and raspberry blowing...new one this month is "babababa"

New Things!

*Army crawling, pretty darn quickly!
*Easily goes from sitting position to crawling position. She just kind of dives onto her tummy. (She does not yet go from crawling/tummy to sitting).
*I placed her inside her toy basket and she pulled herself up to standing in it. She has only done it once so far. Just to be safe, we moved her crib down to the lowest setting.
*Has an interest in looking at and listening to books, not just gnawing on them.
*Good at crawling over things...i.e. people, pillows, etc.
*Loves shaking maracas, or anything that makes noise when she shakes it! (Thanks for the maracas Ruthie and Jon!)
*Seems to be starting to wave...sometimes I think she's waving and then sometimes I think it's a fluke.
*Keeps herself occupied alone with toys more often and for longer
*Takes baths in the tub, with no baby bathtub
*She's slept with her lovey (white lovey bear) for months, but this month seems attached to it. I watch her in the monitor and she's never without it in her hands. When she gets put in her crib she dives for her lovey.
*Drinks out of a straw sippy cup
*Loves classes at the library. Luckily, the library not even a mile away offers free music/story-time classes each week and Embry loves them. She just loves watching and crawling after other little kids.
*Does really good at restaurants sitting in a highchair and eating finger foods

This is the best we could do... this little one hates being on her back!!
