I'm sure I'll say this every month, but the fourth month of Embry's life was SO MUCH FUN! Embry is so interactive, happy, and just a joy to be around! We've had so much fun with her this month.
Four Month Stats
Weight: 15 pounds 7 ounces (weighed at Pediatrician office January 28)
Height: 26.5 inches long (done at home last week)
Diapers: Size 2 (This month we used HEB diapers)
Clothes: Varies. Mostly 3-6 month stuff, but still fits into some 0-3 month stuff. And luckily still fits into her four beloved "Embry" onesies that are Carters 3 month.
Eating: Same as two and three months. Nurses pretty much every three hours during the day. Still gets one breast milk bottle each night. (Has recently been on a bottle strike...more on that later...)
Sleeping: Same as two months; wakes up one time in the night to eat. Now going to bed at 8:00 pm every night. Typically sleeps 12 hours with one break. Is not waking after 8-10 hours. We definitely are on more of a schedule during the day. Starting right around her 3 month birthday her naps definitely fell into a schedule. She typically takes three naps a day; 2 2-hour naps and 1 1-hour nap. The morning nap always happens an hour after she gets up, so usually around 9:00-9:30 am. Usually sleeps for 2 hours and is up for 1.5-2 hours, then goes down for a short nap, then takes another long nap in the afternoon.
New Things!
*Uses her hands to play now
*Found her feet and loves them
*Laughs and giggles. Nothing is cuter than an Embry giggle =)
*Puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. Jacob asked when she'll be out of this phase... I'm afraid not until she's like 2? But every toy, hand, blanket, etc goes straight into her mouth. It's getting hard to get pictures of her because she has her own hands in her mouth half the time!
*Totally lights up when she sees her Mommy and Daddy. One of the cutest things is when Jacob gets home from work each night and she sees him. It's a HUGE, "where have you been all day" smile!
*Has started staying awake in the car. Car rides used to put her to sleep in a second, even if she'd just woken up. She now stays up if it's her awake time.
*Fusses to get what she wants. Babies under this age aren't capable of fussing to get what they want, they fuss when they need something. Well I can tell now that if she's been left alone for too long, say on her play mat while I'm pumping, or in her bouncer on the kitchen floor while I'm cooking....she will fuss if she wants to be picked up, or if I disappear from her sight. It's kinda funny!
*Notices Athena! So fun!
*I'm sure I've forgotten a ton of things...if I remember, I'll go back and add things later! In a rush while Miss E is napping now to get my to-do list done =)
